Stavamala

The Stavamala, or “the garland of hymns,” is a very famous songbook written by Srila Rupa Goswami. The Stavamala consists of six volumes filled with stotrams (systematic hymns with no fixed number of verses), astakams (systematic hymns of eight verses), anddasakams (systematic hymns with ten verses). The Stavamala contains prayers that glorify various personalities from Krsna lila to Gauralila. The sixth volume contains forty-two songs about Krsna and his activities and conversations with the gopis. The forty-two songs are known as the Gitavali. The songs “Radhe Jaya Jaya Madhava Dayite” and “Krsna Deva Bhavantam Vande” are two well known songs form this book.
Volumes 3 and 4 were not available to KKSongs. Only Volumes 1, 2, 5, and 6 are available to KKSongs.
